my name is lizz.
i get really excited about food! i am a self proclaimed food enthusiast. i get sick of seeing pictures of filet mignon elegantly arranged on a square plate on a white table cloth under dramatic lighting. it all looks the same :(. i do not walk the streets of manhattan eating expensive truffles and drinking overpriced champagne. no one but snotty gourmets do that. real people don’t care about how you spent your entire paycheck on a piece of salmon the size of a nickel. i have no formal training, and most things that i try to cook end in failure.

Lizz, I don’t know what you do for a living, but if you were in Chicago, you’d be a tv food critic. I found your website by accident while looking up Lynn’s cafe after reading about it in the Chicago Tribune, but you are a hoot. I’m tempted to head on up to Louisville, Livonia and Ann Arbor. Photos were great to. Who is Chris - is it serious - never mined. Keep up the good writing and photo journalism - you need to become famous.

and where do you suggest i go for hot dogs in chicago? it is actually on my list of things to do before i die to go to chicago and eat a chicago-style hotdog with neon green relish. i see them on food network all the time and get really jealous. haha
